"NEW BOWLING SHOE"
Mihara Yasuhiro is a Japanese designer who has once again joined forces with Nigel Cabourn to create another impressive sneaker collection. The collaboration between both the designers is a prime example of their talents in collecting historical details and bringing them up to date with the finest materials and craftsmanship available today.
The Nigel Cabourn X Mihara Yasuhiro New Bowling Shoes take their inspiration from one of Nigel’s favourite Mihara silhouettes where he famously dissected a retro basketball sneaker.
"I revived this style just for Nigel."

Three playful colour ways are included in this capsule - perfect for summertime. From the front, the shoe resembles a classic cotton canvas American rubber plimsoll but from the rear, it transforms into a pigment coated cow leather space-age bowling-style shoe, both fused together with a continuous sole.
Branding is minimal featuring dual branded labels on the tongue and sides of the sneakers. Nigel often ties his laces around his ankles so this design features a back loop detailed with an embroidered broad arrow to thread the laces through in order to achieve this desired look.
