Styling Story 006
Spring Summer '23 Outerwear
We took to the streets of Manchester to style up some of our favourite early Spring/Summer season jackets. Think easy-to-wear, heritage-inspired layered looks for the season ahead.
The Nam Coat
A Cabourn classic piece, the Nam Coat will never go out of style. Made in England by Mackintosh and inspired by the wet weather garments used by the US during the Vietnam war, the Nam is a knee-length, half lined overcoat. Woven in Italy, the fabric choice for this coat was inspired by the iconic M1 Bomber jacket - a smooth handle with a wavy surface appearance, and water repellent for those showery spring days. We've paired the Nam Coat with a preppy half zip pullover from South Korean brand Wild Bricks for a casual yet smart look.

The Check Zip Smock
A new style for Spring Summer '23, the Zip Smock is a longline smock style jacket that features a tonal check print. Perfect for seasonal layering, the smock is also finished with a showerproof coating. We've styled the Zip Smock with our poplin Combat Pant, the Wild Bricks Fleece Pullover and a pair of classic Red Wing Chukka Boots for a tonal, neutral spring look.

TCB Jeans Cathartt Chore Coat
Launched as one of our guest brands for early Spring, Japan's TCB Jeans are inspired by styles from the golden era of denim. This jacket is no exception, created as an ode to the Carhartt chore jackets of the 1940's/50's and inspired by the heart-shaped logo on the original tag. To style this heritage-inspired look, we paired the Cathartt jacket with TCB's 50s Jeans in a classic wearable indigo wash, and the Westcoast Shirt from fellow Japanese brand Jelado.

TCB Jeans Seamens Jacket
Inspired by a 40's deck jacket from their own archives, the Seamens Jacket from TCB Jeans can bring subtle naval aesthetic to your wardrobe. Crafted to the highest quality from a 10oz neppy denim woven on vintage looms, we've paired the Seamens Jacket with the Three-Pocket Scout Shirt from South Korean brand Wild Bricks for a hint of colour, and finished with accessories from Wild Bricks and Porter-Yoshida.
